ORBS

It is well known in the circles of photography and by the camera manufacturers themselves, that the phenomena of 'orbs' on digital photographs are nothing more then natural phenomena, e.g. environmental factors like dust, bugs, pollen, lens flare, moisture and even hair.  These images are recreatable and we have conducted our own experiments to prove this and regularly test out new cameras.  The overview of our experiment can be found in the article  Orbs - Dust or Real

Below are some of the photographs that we have recreated as examples of these environmental factors.

COLOURED ORBS:

But what about coloured orbs? We hear all the time that coloured orbs are more genuine and that the colour shows the spirits personality etc.  Because of this we then went on to experiment with coloured substances and in this case red, blue and silver glitter.

The main objective in using the coloured glitter was to analyze the effect on the orbs caused by using a coloured source material. We observed that the majority of the orbs achieved corresponded to the colour of the source material used. The intensity of the colour exhibited did vary to a degree with some orbs actually appearing as white orbs.

This particular photo was taken with the red glitter.  As you can see the red glitter, although mainly reflecting the red, also shows blues and whites and varying shades in between. However there could have been remains of blue glitter still in the atmosphere to account for this.

Again the red glitter shows a distinct colouring of the orbs produced, with some even giving the appearance of emitting their own light source.

Then we tried the blue glitter, again with distinct blue/white being predominant.

Blue glitter with definite blue highlights although fainter in appearance.

So we turned to silver glitter in motion which gave a very distinct bright result with its reflective surface.

Some of these bright orbs also seem to produce the common 'moving orbs' with tails

A close up of the moving orb with tail, also displaying the purple/blue aura often claimed to be associated with 'true' orbs.

Close up of a blue glitter orb which almost looks like a double.

Close up of a red glitter orb.  This gives the appearance of its own light energy source with a corresponding red aura around it.

Another version of the blue glitter orb.
