A much overlooked effect on digital cameras can be caused by a simple strand of hair. As you will see from the following pictures, hair can create some astounding effects from orbs in flight to vortexes. Even hair tied back can still leave that loose strand hanging that can get in front of a lens. This is another reason that we always hold our cameras well away from us when photographs are taken. However, it should never be overlooked that both pet hair and human hair can be floating in the atmosphere as we wander around these premises stirring it up.

Orbs in flight?

When viewed as a full picture you can see the head and the hair that caused this effect.

Lovely example of a 'red vortex' this time not caused by the commonly accused camera strap, but a simple strand of hair.

but again is just caused from certain reflected points in the hair shaft.

When viewed larger can clearly be seen to again be reflection of part of the shaft of hair.

Larger photo with orb showing in right of the photo. Notice with these samples that the whole hair shaft doesn't always show in the photograph.

These next two photos are interesting as we have a further 2 effects in them. The black shadow in the corner and the brighter light next to the shaft of hair is caused by finger and thumb getting in front of the flash when the photo was taken.

Had we not known this, would we have associated it as paranormal along with that streak of light?

And finally animal hair, in this case cat hair, can have just as wondrous effects.

In these experiments the cat hair, seen on the left, seems to light up the whole hair and not just parts of it. But still we can get some wonderful and very strange light patterns.
