HISTORY OF STUDIO
9

Studio 9 was originally a church that was built in 1858. It was converted into a Music hall at the end of the 19th century and in the late 1950s the owners of the future Channel 9 Studios, purchased the church/music hall and land, which also included a small cemetery. The new television studio was built over the cemetery, where it is claimed that the bodies in the cemetery were never removed. The old church/music hall was converted into a television studio and named Studio 9. Studio 9 is now obsolete and is only used for storage and the occasional staff party.

Some of the staff at Channel 9 believe a spirit named “Charlie” is responsible for all sorts of mysterious happenings and have reported sightings of him over the years.

Charlie is thought to be a “World War 1 soldier” who had lost his leg and who roams the corridors of the Channel 9 studios. There have been a considerable number of unexplained happenings in Studio 9. This was the focus for the investigation by Paranormal Field Investigators
